What 3D printing costs here
Three components, no hidden items: material by weight, print time by the hour, one base fee per order.
The formula
Price = weight × price per gram + print hours × €1.50 + €3.90 base fee. Weight depends on volume, material and infill; print time on weight and layer height. The calculator does this for your file automatically. Minimum order €8.90. All prices include 19 % VAT.

Examples with the standard 0.4 mm nozzle, prices for pickup. Shipping per the DHL price list is added (Päckchen from €4.19, parcel from €6.19).
Volume discount
From 5 pieces −5 %, from 10 −10 %, from 25 −15 %, from 50 −20 % on the unit price. That matches the average of German online print services. From 250 pieces ask for a series price; we then calculate by plate utilisation instead of single parts.
What costs extra
- Express same-day dispatch: +50 % on parts and base fee
- Urgent, delivered in 2 days: +€30 per piece, same-day printing and DHL Express or courier included
- Support material: about 8 % more weight, an option in the calculator
- Multi-colour: by effort, from €5 per colour group
- Finishing selectable in the calculator: sanding & smoothing from €6 per piece (€0.025/cm² surface), priming & painting from €18 per piece (€0.06/cm²), threaded inserts €0.90 each, reaming holes €2.50 per piece – support removal and cleaning are always included
- Modelling without a file: €60 per started hour, usually 1–2 hours

- File check and small repairs
- Support removal, deburring
- Invoice with VAT
- Keeping the file for reorders
Why weight, not cm³?
Two parts with the same volume weigh differently depending on material and infill. Weight is what is actually consumed, so that is what we charge.
Lower the price
- 0.20 mm instead of 0.12 mm halves the print time
- 15 % infill is enough for decor
- Parts without overhangs save supports
- Several parts in one order share the base fee
